There is no greater privilege than when someone shares their storywith you.

As far back as I can recall, words fascinated me.

People and their stories, fascinated me.

I loved reading biographies and was that dorky kid in the car pointing out the clever words on the billboard to my friends, who didn’t get why I was laughing.

My discovery of journalism and achieving a byline on the front page (my ultimate goal) was just the beginning of finding my purpose.

After working at three, major-market newspapers in the Phoenix- and Tucson-area, it didn’t take long for me to realize telling people’s stories was what I loved and was meant to do.

Gratefully, that is a key ingredient in every brand’s success, and I quickly discovered how this passion met my purpose as I entered the world of copywriting.

I’m a storyteller. I’m a writer. I’m a brand advocate.

Sharing someone’s success after using a product, or capturing a company’s achievements opened up a world I never knew existed.

And I was hooked.

Who knew sharing community stories, taking complicated subjects and boiling them down into bite-sized, understandable messages could translate so well to sell a product or connect someone to a brand?

Since then, I’ve had the honor of telling hundreds of personal and professional stories as an in-house marketing and communications director at three, multi-million dollar companies, even leading the charge on writing efforts for big brands such as Disney, DreamWorks, Warner Bros. and more to support independent business owners.

On a personal note…

Yes, work is a big part of my story, but there are a few others you may enjoy, too.

I’m a blessed mother. I’m a loved wife.

I’m a garage-gym enthusiast. I’m an outdoor adventurer.

I’m a world-traveler with a bad (or good?) case of wanderlust.

I deeply appreciate local cuisine and the art of cooking.

And I love people.

We can learn so much from people’s personal stories – it’s what connects us to our humanity, our alikeness, and ultimately, our deepest loves.

I believe everyone has a story, and the world deserves to hear it.

And I’m grateful for each person, entrepreneur and brand who entrusts it to me.

Testimonials

“Jennifer helped manage (well did manage) our social media and email blast campaigns for us at Anytime Fitness, a 24 hour fitness franchise in Gilbert, AZ. In just over a year, Jennifer not only helped us increase the views and likes on multiple social media platforms, but she also did a tremendous job getting people on those platforms to engage, therefore helping us retain more members. She was always planning for the next month’s marketing strategy, which was always a delight and members were always commenting on how nice our pages looked. Jennifer is a professional and really enjoys what she does. I would recommend anyone to give Jennifer a try. Her digital marketing background and passion to build a strong community will only help grow your business!”

TJ Bertlesman, Anytime Fitness, Owner

“I wish I knew how Jennifer gets so much done in a day. She is organized, a go-getter, has great ideas, and is clear and concise in her writing style. Plus, she’s a marathon-running supermom. Wow!”

David Despain, The Bountiful Co., Director of Nutrition Science & Communication

“I worked with Jennifer for four years at Isagenix, and found her to be a wonderful resource and collaborator. She helped create a valuable conduit between her content creation team and my team’s social media and SEO work. She is always open to evolving approaches to content distribution and promotion. A pleasure to work with.”
